Vintage Solid 14k Yellow Gold D Letter Pendant with Baby Diamond

There's just something inherently nostalgic about a letter charm! This letter charm brings me back to the day I found out my mom had saved all the tiny gold charms that had been given to me by my family when I was a baby. 

I hope this charm makes its way to the right person, who has someone special to them with a D name or birth location or another special meaning! 

I believe the form is hand pierced and polished, which means I think this cursive D was drawn on a flat sheet of gold (like a piece of gold paper), and then a tiny hand saw was used to create the shape, including sawing out the middle pieces. I've done this many times and it is hard and delicate work! The saw constantly needs to be oiled with a stick of beeswax to keep it cutting through the gold and the gold heats up with the friction of the saw, so you must stop cutting often to let it cool down!
